If you have never heard of the Law of Attraction before, it is basically karmic energy set in the Universe that states, what you put out, you get back. So if you put good out, you will get good back as well as the opposite, if you put bad out you get bad back. These “positive” or “negative” happenings are oftentimes called manifestations and they can be brought about through your outward and inward energy.
Okay! So first things first, when you are beginning to dive into the Law of Attraction the very very very basic step you need to do, but will completely change your ability to manifest is, changing the way you talk and think. In doing so you are not technically learning a language of ethnic value but rather the language of affirmations, which once you learn it, it is hard to forget. If you do this simple task of being aware of the words that you use and think about, you will be able to flip your world upside down in the best way possible. The simple act of being aware of the words used, the phrases you say, and the stories you tell will radically increase your ability to manifest effortlessly. When we start to listen to our minds and our own voices as we speak we will begin to learn that we can be negative Nellie's a lot of the time, don’t worry it’s not exactly your fault, we have been conditioned to act this way. Many of us have been raised in societies that reward us for being, thinking and expressing negative attributes. A prime example is the news, we turn on our TV’s to see “what is going on in the world” and what is “going on” isn’t actually what is happening day in and day out, it is a very very very boiled down negative version of the lives we lead. I once heard someone say “Could you imagine if the news interrupted any tv show your were watching to tell you of all the planes that landed safely each and everyday rather than scaring us?”. How incredible would that be?! (Probably a bit annoying after a while, but still incredible!)To show that good things happen everyday multiple times a day, and pretty much every second of everyday. Now this whole negative talk isn’t just exemplified on the news but also in our walking lives. If you don’t have anything to complain about with your friends you may notice you suddenly don’t have any and if you are a ray of sunshine all the time people think there is a screw (or two) loose in your brain and you need to be checked out. When we are little we are told to “tone it down” and “relaaxxxx”. We were all conditioned by our parents and their parents and their parents parents to hone in on this bad sad world rather than jumping for joy at every second we are alive.
Now I am sure there are some of you thinking “pfff that’s NOT me, I am a positive Polly”. Just trust me, I thought this way too until I realized I was nowhere near P for Polly but rather closer to a B for Betty who is blind as a bat.
I want you for one day, to try and catch yourself anytime you think “ I can’t, I won’t, I am trying but_____ , I wish, I don’t know, I should, I am not, I want to but, etc.” Usually you will know if you’re on the path to picking out these less than positive buggers if you find any form of a contraction at the end of what you’re saying, for instance, “I am trying but it’s not working” or “I really want to buy ____ but I don’t have the money” or “I should really stick to my diet and make steamed chicken and broccoli again, even though my body is craving a burger”. These are all extremely low vibration sentences or thoughts (aka affirmations) that a lot of us turn into our stories as to why we can or can not do/be/say or have something/someone/some place.
Now affirmations aren’t just for the positive, they can also be very much attached to negative energy as well. Again, it is all about energy and how you’re feeling in that moment. If you feel like sh*t it is probably because that is what you have been feeding your mind, body and soul for awhile. So how do you change this? The whole reason you began reading this blog post 3 years ago (I love to talk, can you tell?) ^ Prime example right here, that is a story I have told myself. I could just as easily tell myself and the people around me that I hate talking and interacting with others. Our brains, bodies, pets, furniture, houses, towns, oceans, world, Universe is all made up of energy and said energy is very malleable. Therefore what you think and speak (aka energetic forces) legitimately constrict the world you see and live in.
OKAY! The answer to the question you have very very very patiently been waiting for.... or maybe you skipped ahead, I really have no way of knowing...... is HOW does one practice the Law of Attraction through watching their thoughts and words spoken?

I am just joshing you! As I mentioned earlier, for one day write down any and all negative self talk, thought,social media watchings and conversations you have with others (this may require you to look like a journalist with a notepad scribbling down any and everything for a day but with the work comes great reward!) Also side note... you can totally do this first step for multiple days in a row if your heart desires, it is mainly just to show what you unconsciously think and participate in on the daily that is bringing your energetic vibrations down, so have at it if this first step is fun for you!
Next I want you to take said negativity in your journal/notepad or sticky note and read over it once or twice or five times until you realize that ALL of these thoughts or happenings were produced by you and your energy in someway shape or form.
Step three let go of the guilt or shame you’re probably now feeling in realizing just how blehh you or your outward persona can be at times. Now forgive yourself by wrapping your arms around you and giving yourself a hug, once done say “I love you and I am listening”...... DO IT! Don’t roll your eyes.
Step four, go back to your negative nelly list and next to each word, phrase, story or happening write down a positive affirmation instead that transforms these things into happy energy. For instance, "I hate that I get acne" can easily be transformed into "But how amazing are all the things it has taught me?! I would have never gotten into health and wellness without it, I love my pimples".
Now repeat all the steps for as long as it takes until you have rainbows over your head.
With the full moon that is happening any moment for people in EST this can be an incredible practice. Right now our shadows are coming to the surface, so all the ugly things we may think, speak, but mainly judge of others or in ourselves will be coming to the forefront. What better time to watch your thoughts than right now?!
Take pride in how far you have come and have faith in how far you can go
